I have a 2005 Z51 with the polished wheels. It is my daily driver with 58k miles so far. The wheels are pitted in all of the corners.
How can I polish them clean?
I need new brake pads, what is everyone using to diminish the dust?

Mike,
Meguiars has a fairly effective chrome polish. I've used it on my exhaust tips and gotten some nice results.

As for replacement brake pads, have you consulted MidAmerica Corvette's or Corvette America's catalogues for ceramic brakes? I don't use ceramics, but I'm advised by friends who do they definately eliminate brake dust. But they are apparently not cheap.

Keep them waxed

You say this is a daily driver. If you drive in in the winter months and your area is like ours they probably use Mag Chloride to de-ice the roads or rock salt and sand. The Mag Chloride will eat aluminum and destroy wheels over time unless you make the effort to keep them clean and waxed. Might be worth investing in a cheaper after-market wheel and tire combination for the winter months.
