Can somebody please tell me the best way to charge my 2000 model C5 battery.

The car has been put away for the winter but when i started it last week I noticed the lights seem to be getting dim so i thought i would charge the battery.

The problem is it doesn`t have posts to put the crocodile clips on.

Do i need to get some bolts to screw in? i have never come across this problem before my old 75 vette had been changed over to round post tops.

Also the right hand side exhaust on my C5 has cracked around the flange the weld has broken where the rear silencer meets the Cat pipe can anybody let me know whether this should be replaced under warranty the car is a 2000 model but was not registered until May 2001 and has done 9400 miles.

I live in England and the GM service over here is terrible. I tried emailling severall different GM departments with no joy.

Thanks Aaron

I had the same problem with the flange on my exhaust. The dealer had to order the new pipe, so I went to a muffler shop and had them weld it on the car. When the new pipe came in it was replaced under warranty.

Your warranty is valid since the car was not "sold" until 2001.

I had a look at the battery tender plus and I should be able to get one for about £50 delivered in a couple of weeks thanks for that.

Also now that I know other people have the same exhuast problem I will push a lot harder to get the muffler replaced under warranty.

Once thats sorted out then I can fit the Borla Stinger that I just ordered as a replacement. I should have tried the action center first!!!!

The quiet exhaust note was my only disappointment on my C5 now it looks like I might end up with two exhausts.

Decisions, Desicions. :)
