hi friends , hope you can help me with some doubts and problems im having, i have just instaled my new throttle body. but it seems to have a leakage of coolant into my intake, i guess its a gasket problem.
so i was wondering if i can cancel the inlet and outlet of coolant from the throttle body with out having problems.

whats the purpose of of the coolant in the throttle body??

Yes, you can absolutely eliminate the coolant traveling through your throttle body.

In cold climate areas (Chicago, Canada....) the coolant warms up the air going through the throttle body to eliminate any chance of an off-idle bog. This would only have a chance of occurring during the winter months in these areas.

I have mine blocked off and I experience no issues whatsoever.

SAVE THE :w

it ia also to remedy any possability of throttle icing more of an issue with carb cars Steve

I just did mine and the advice I received was good. I rubbed a tiny bit of oil on both sides of the gasket and no leaks.
