Be Cool Electric Fan

Have any of you that have Be Cool electric fan products ever have the motor just simply die on you early on after installation?

I've had 2 of their new NASCAR fan die straight in a row a day apart from each other.

Just curious if any of you have had similar issues.

whoa, that can't be good.

i've got the dual flex-a-lite set up. 2.5 years on em and still going strong

Purely a stupid guess ... but ... if a DC fan motor is wired backwards and the natural airflow through fan spins it in reverse of how it's wired ... two things would probably happen ... poor (as in none) cooling & fan motor would fail. So ... stupid question ... is the fan motor wired so that it moves air from front to rear?

Also, if wiring for fan circuit is not heavy enough ... the motors will overheat and fail prematurely. Check w/ fan supplier for minimum gauge wire ... just guessing minimum about 12 gauge ... and 10 gauge just about right.

I think the preferred fan for nascar is branded SPAL ... it's european ... maybe italian? ... dunno where becool gets theirs from.

Jack... The NASCAR fan is a puller. Also, there is no way it can be wired backwards. It's actually a very simple installation.

81 Corvette... unfortunately, none of Be Cools dual fans fit their 4 gallon 60022 radiator (which I have). They stated that several mods would have to be made (even to the radiator itself) to get one to fit properly. I'm not willing to do that.

They sent me a different fan yesterday, but its just not keeping the system cool enough like it should. Back to the drawing board!
