I need tires good in the rain and not as crazy in the snow. Good price, post link if there is one. I just drove in the snow for the first time not long ago... heh... its quite unstable. Thanks a lot

Most of the threads I have read on the various Corvette fourms pretty much show that the Corvette is not the best car to drive in the snow. While the weight distribution is very good, wide tires do not help with traction. Tire tread width for both the 16" and 17" tires runs around 9" wide and that distributes the weight across a pretty wide footprint.

You can get an idea of what may be available a 16" size by going to the Tire Rack website ( www.tirerack.com) and see what they have to offer. Start here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirebran.htm and click on the Dunlop logo. In the page that opens, go down to the SP Sport 5000 Asymmetrical and click on that name. You should get some good info there. There is a 255/50WR-16 size for $124 each.

You'll probably find that there are few 16" tires in the Vette 255/50 size that are considered an all-season tire that has snow capability. Maybe it might be better to take the money that you would spend for tires and buy a winter beater. Toss on 4 cheapie snow tires and go.
