What do you all think of these tires? Anyone have a statement on before and after with these tires? Do they provide a ton more grip for some serious get up and go?

I have run these on my '66 4-sp ,with 4.11s.

Googyear 225/60 Eagle HP best 60 ft. time of 2.35
BFG 235/60 Drag R " " " 1.96

I have not run pure slicks on this car for a 3-some evaluation. I do not believe this car could 60ft. much better.

Sounds really good... I too have a 4.11 gear, along with a 700R4 trans. Are you running stick, or auto, and if auto, what stall speed? With your 4.11 gear, do these tires seem to grab nice? Looking at your 60ft times it seems to =) I did a 0-60 run on my car with the g-tech meter. Yeah, with 255/60/15 street tires good luck with traction. From a stop, i started slow then hit it for a 4.89 0-60mph. You KNOW your losing time when you gotta go slow for a few feet until you can hit it, even then i spin them so i can't do full throttle. I tried to do a 0-60 punching it, not using brake to use stall speed to potential. Yeah, big mistake, burned them, and went sideways for a 6.86 lol. Sheesh. Goes to show you about burnouts. They look nice, but man, do they kill you! I know if I can grip I can be VERY low 4's for 0-60mph. But hey, I can't even punch it, not to mention use stall speed as it stands... Grrr...

This is a 4-speed car. BFG Drag Rad. work the best after just hazing the tires in the water box. I'm side stepping the clutch at 4000-4500 rpm.

I can not tell you anything about these tires ,in the real world ,on the street. I have only run them at the track.

They will be alot better than any normal tire , no matter what the size.

You might consider a Hoosier STreet TD for real street driving. I've autocrossed these for years , they do not need heated up as much to work.

I could not get my BF Goodrich street radials to hook up at the dragstrip. I bought a set of used BF drag radials from a friend who runs them on the street and I mounted them on a spare set of wheels. Most of the tread is gone but they work just fine after a good burnout. They grab great with no wheelspin and knocked a bunch off the ET. Charles

My experience with Goodrich Drag Radials on two different Vettes has been, if the tires are reasonably fresh, they'll gain you from one-and-a-half to three-tenths. Run 'em at 20 psi and get 'em hot before your pass. Stay out of the water box, though. I've found they work better with a dry burnout.
