Fort Worth, Texas – Is it really all that surprising Danica Patrick stole the spotlight Friday in a series in which she hasn't even competed?
Greg Biffle won the pole for Sunday's AAA 500 Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.
It was Patrick, however, who drew the most attention with a formal announcement of her partial Cup series schedule in 2012 with Stewart-Haas Racing.
Eight of Patrick's 10 Cup races have been set, including – as The Observer and ThatsRacin.com first reported in August – the 2012 Daytona 500.
The rest of her schedule includes Cup races May 12 at Darlington, S.C.; Aug. 25 at Bristol, Tenn.; Sept. 2 at Atlanta; Sept. 16 at Chicagoland; Sept. 30 Dover, Del.; Nov. 4 at Texas; and Nov. 11 at Phoenix.
