How do I get rid of the "freegin' " bird poop on the hood of my '94?
My fault it stayed there too long, but that's after the fact now. It appears as though the intense heat has really etched it into the surface. Thanks so much for any help. :mad

Keep some glass cleaner handy and wipe the poop off before it bakes into the paint. Probably a little late for this advice however.

Wash the poop off then clay bar then area and finish with some fine polishing compound. If the paint has been etched too deep, I'm sorry.

I keep a bottle of quick detailed and a microfiber cloth in the back at all times...just for those instances.

As already said, if the paint is too etched, not much you can do. I have used baby oil to remove hard to remove stuff, and then clean it up real good with car soap and some wax/detailer

Good idea. I, too, keep a bottle of detail spray and towels in my trunk for such emergencies... but I hadn't thought of baby oil for dried on stuff. :thumb

All good suggestions. Not sure what to do if none of these work, though. Let us know how you make out.

Never even thought of baby oil for that procedure. I am sure the lubricity would miminize any potential scratches. I will give it a try the next time paradise does it's thing to me though. Great idea. :)
