Black and Tan

I want to order a 2006 Z06 so this message is certainly premature. This may be my last Corvette and I want it exactly as I visualize it. All I want is a black exterior with a tan interior. I'm kinda used to Porsches and this color combination is available on the P cars. I have never seen a black Corvette with the tan leather interior. My black 04 has the black interior and its very nice, but I want the tan from the factory.

Does anyone know how I would find out the availability of interior/exterior options. My local dealer doesn't know.

I can't help you with the color choices or option availabilty come 2006 Larry, but the title of your post caught my eye and dredged up some old remembered history ...

The "Black and Tans", or more properly known as the Royal Irish Constabulary Reserve Force, was just one of the paramilitary forces employed by the Royal Irish Constabulary from 1920 to 1921, to deal with supporters of Sinn F in and its military wing the IRA.

And of course, from my drinking days we have the old favorite... a "Black and Tan" using Guinness floating on top of a lighter beer, typically Harp.

I'll try to refrain myself now and let you get back to your discussion of color choices/options. But hey, you've got a year to go yet, right? :L

Larry, I have to believe that you CAN get the tan/camel interior with the black exterior. The ZO6 should have the same color combos available to it as does the "STD" C6.

This may not be the case as the current Z06 only had black and mod red, which was essentially a black interior with red inserts in the seats. I wouldn't be so sure until the Z06 info is release in January.
