Well today I was putting in my new high flow 180 thermostat and Lower fan swich. I started by breaking my throttle body gasket :hb oh man was that fun.then when I finally got to the thermostat it wasn't there. Low and behold my car has had no thermostat the whole time I've been driving it around. Now this leads me to believe this car has had some cooling problems of some sort, I mean why else would you take out the thermostat.
Well after I get a new throttle body gasket :mad and put the thing back together we shall see how it runs I guess.

I bet it'll be fine. Us Vette owners will go to great lengths to make are cars run cooler, especially in city traffic with the A/C on. Ain't gonna happen in my exprience, but get her rollin' and she's fine ;)

It may have just been someone's idea of a mod. The thermostat has a function of regulating water flow, which needs to spend some time in both the engine and the radiator, not just whiz around. Your car may well run cooler with it in.

Hope it all pleases you when done. :w
