Block and Heads quest..

i would like to know if an original C2 vette came with matching cast dates on the block and heads? or is it possible they came like this in some cases..example..(F-17-4 block) and (D-12-4 heads)...is that possible it came 100% original from the factory?thanks

Yes, it is possible.

Not only possible, but highly likely and quite normal; it's extremely unusual to see an original engine with the same casting dates on the block and heads, or, for that matter, the same casting dates on each head.
