Blower and hoods

Anyone have any idea how much extra clearance you need to fit a Weiand 142 blower under the hood of a '79 L-82? I'm pretty sure I'll need some form of taller hood should I decide to use one, but how much? I don't want anything sticking out of my hood.

i.m almost sure it will stick through.what about twin turbos??lots of go and no holes.

I'll be moving to San Diego in the next 4 or 5 months so I need something that they will allow. I haven't seen any approved turbo kits. I was thinking that with an aftermarket L-88 or Stinger hood I might be able to fit it. I think (depending on manufacturer) that those both provide like 4 inches of clearance.
