I Just Got In From A Nice Cruise With My 86 Coupe And I Noticed That With My Key Off The Blower Motor Was Still Running Sometimes Full Speed Or Very Slow Im Showing 12.4 Volts At The Terminals.the Car Has Climate Control,,,has Anybody Out There In Vette Land Ever Have This Problem,,if So Help!!!!!!

No....never had the problem but, I would check out the relay for the fan, it may be stuck closed. I'm sure someone will let you know where it is on your car.

Relay would be my guess as well. That's about all I can think of that would make the fan stay on with the ignition off. I'm looking at the wiring diagram for my 88 and it looks more and more like the relay is stuck closed.

Yep....says right in the troubleshooting section: "Blower runs all the time (ign off)........replace blower relay

ps: you might consider picking up a set of service manuals for your year. They are a MUST have. Everything from wiring diagrams to troubleshooting steps.

I Just Picked Up The Red 1986 Corvette Shop Manual And Of Course The Location For The Blower Relay Which Is Supposed To Be To The Right Of The Fuse On The Fire Wall,,,well It Aint There Does Anyone Have An Idea Where It Could Be?

Let me check my 88 manual.......Sounds like you've gotten the correct "red book"...:)

ok, we need to back up. The red wiring book shows that the automatic climate control system, (this is what you have right?) does not utilize a relay. Rather it uses a Blower Control Module located in the LH side of the evaporator housing.

The MANUAL system uses the relay which is why you cannot locate it. The first wiring diagram I looked at was for a manual system like mine. Sorry about the mix up but the troubleshooting says :Fan on with ignition off = replace module.

Thanks Len--- Couldnt Do It Without You

No problem my friend. Did you happen to also get the electrical book along with the service manual? They're usually sold as a set. Botn are invaluable..
