check the fuse.

Check the wiring to the starter. If it gets wired incorrectly the blower motor will not work.

Sharkcar: could you give a little more detail about this. I am having blower motor problems as well and just had a new starter installed recently in my 82 vette. Thanks

There is a ground wire for the blower that has a large diameter ring terminal on it. SOmetimes, it's installed on a starter bolt (kind of incorrect but it does work) and then either installed as a power wire to the battery terminal on the solenoid (doesn't seem to be a problem, other than the blower and wipers don't work) or just left disconnected.

If you look at this picture, the wire marked "d" is actually the ground for the heater. Please DO NOT use this as a guide to hookup a starter WITHOUT READING ALL OF THE NOTES ON IT. I picked this picture up from another forum member and added the red notes to help get his wiring nightmare un-wound. The text on the picture is incorrect- the wire marked "d" in the text states it's the resistor bypass. It's actually the ground.

there is a big ground wire that has to be disconnected from the engine block to remove the starter. this ground wire has to be reconnected, or, you will have issues with some electrical componets.

racerone has a good point- there is also a short ground cable that runs from the right frame motor mount to the block. Usually bolts to the block at the top of the front starter support bracket.

The blower run all the time even when in the off position. Check real close for moving air if there is a little but you cannot increase air flow you could have a bad or malfunctioning fan switch. I do and have to play with the switgh to vary the fan speed..
