Anyone painted their rocker moldings the same as the body? Rather than the black I thought the body color may make the car appear lower.

Ive never seen it done but it sounds :puke Just my opinion.

I have felt that having my rocker panels a different color accentuates the "waist" of my 78. I think that if the rockers were painted the same as the body color that it would make my vette look bulky and shapeless.
What about painting them several shades darker than the body color?
Can you alter the colors of a picture of a vette to see what it would look like all one color?

I just had a thought...what about black vettes? Aren't their rocker panels also black?
You know what, it's your vette and your money. Paint her the way you want to!

I installed new rocker panels on my 73 this year. They are chrome with a narrow black stripe. I like them being different than the body but that's just me :crazy Are they black for the 79? Hey it's your Vette - do what you like :w

Save the Wave

I have some originals that I would sell for around $50. You can paint them if you like. They aren't perfect though. I have side pipes so I don't need them.
