Well we finally got the birdcage back from the shop (over a year in total!!) Now we are in the process of putting the rear-clip and the birdcage back together. My question is, how exactly is the best way to do this?? Also, can we use a hard "fiberglass to metal" bonder to "glue" the top roll frame and bottom area back on? The original "glue" is a soft putty like stuff.

Thanks people.

Hi,

I used a windshield glue to bond the rear and front clip to the birdcage.
But this was a very good quality glue. Not every windshield glue is good for this job.
Maybe you can try with Eckler's or Mida america for the glue or ask 69 My way for the tip. He has done several of these projects.
After glueing be sure the rivet holes on the rear and front clip align properly with the holes on the birdcage and then rivet them.

Good luck,

Ryan
