Does anyone know what the difference is between the 63 and 64-67 body mounts? I know the 63 has 2 additional but what other difference?

Thanks in advance.

The '63 didn't use rubber cushions - the body was bolted solid to the frame; the only thing between the body and frame was the shims. The frame was revised for '64 by lowering the body mount brackets to create the space required for the rubber body cushion mounts used from '64-up.

Thanks John,
Would there be any benefit to adding a thin 1/8" - 1/4" rubber cushion?

I've seen at least one post by an owner who used the '64-up cushions on his '63 WITHOUT altering the body mounts and claimed it worked fine. Not sure I'd recommend it, though. But that testimonial would seem to say that a thin rubber cushion probably wouldn't hurt, might even help.

BTW, check the AIM... I think there are a couple of rubber pads atop the frame, too, on the '63 that might have to be "fattened" if additional height is added by using bodymount cushions; I can't recall exactly where they go (somewhere around the seats I think) but hopefully the AIM will have that info.
