Well I did'nt work on the car as much I would like but I managed to disconnect pretty much all the hardware that link the body to the frame tonight.
I lifted the body with a jack and using wood shims it sits at about 5 inches off the frame.
From underneat the rockers seems to be allright, a little bit of rust toward the rear on both sides but seems to be pretty solid. I'll know later.
Tomorow I'll build the dolly for the body and probably next weekend with a bunch of my kids friends we will transfer it. They're all football players so they should,nt have any problems lifting it.
I bough a new complete frame but by looking at it more closely, the guy bought the good parts but I think he had put more effort on the "correct" painted gaphics than on the assembly. So I'll most probably take it apart and reassemble the front and rear suspension.

Kool, how about some pictures. I'd like to remove the body to replace the crappy floor pans in mine someday and would like to see how its done.

BTW welcome to CAC

I know the feeling when you are on a roll you don't want to stop, my projects always have holes in the photos I take of them.:L

Thanks for the link to the 71 restoration, I am aware of 67 HEAVEN's web page and it has spent the night in my barn and will again next week at the BBQ before Cruise-fest which is fast approaching. A beautiful Vette much better in person.
Good luck on your project.:upthumbs
