I've been in the midst of repairing the body of my Vette (http://picasaweb.google.com/1fine69/BodyRestorationInProgress) and ordered the book, "VOL. 3: 68-82 FRONT TO COWL BODY REPAIR GUIDE" by Ray J. Shiro. In that book, the author uses something called Bond Spacers™ for practically every repair. He never really explains what these are, but one would believe they were miracle devices. Intrigued, I wrote Mr. Shiro an email and guess what? He offers these for sale! I went ahead put in an order for 3 packages.

The parcel arrived today. So with bated breath, I opened it. These miracle Bond Spacers™ are nothing more than 1/2" x 1/2" squares of balsa wood. Actually they could be Popsicle sticks cut into squares.

I'm not trying to slam Mr. Shiro - it's a fairly good book and hey it's capitalism (and buyer beware, etc.:hb), I just want folks to know that if you're interested in using his Bond Spacers™, please make them yourself and save a few bucks.

You certainly have to admire someone who can turn a profit on something aa simple as that. You can bet you are not the only one who purchased them. I also admire you for not slamming him I am sure if you had asked questions he would have told you what they looked like.
