I am trying to devise a game plan to restore the interior on my 1978 Corvette when this thought crossed my mind. My clock has never worked. Soon, I will already have a clock on my new radio. Could I pop in a boost guage where my clock currently resides? Are the guages 2" or 2 1/4"? TIA,

I'm not sure about the later model gauge consoles, but I have a vacuum gauge in place of the clock in my '75. That is soon to change, as I have my original clock rebuilt now and ready to re-install. The gauge that I have is a Stewart Warner 2" body with an outside bezel size of approximately 2 1/4". I removed the outer bezel and the lense in order to affix the gauge to the pod.

Hope this helps.
