Bose factory radio

Does any one here know if the 2001 z06 radio has a amp in it . I installed a Kenwood radio in mine and was told it may have a amp in car that needs to be bypassed thanks for any info

Yup. I had to ask the same question a looooonnggg time ago when I swapped my head unit for a newer factory one.

Thank you for the welcome . So if i understand you right if each speacker has it,s own amp in it do i need to bypass them if i installed a NON factory radio ???

Hi there,
Also remember, that you will have a signal processor that is located under the drivers side dash, in a gold anodized case.
So, that means you have to bypass the signal processor AND the 2 front amplification units, one in each door.
The rear speakers DO NOT have separate amplifiers.
