Lost all radio presets and clock settings when I replaced the batt.
While following the instructions in the owner's manual, nothing works.
The radio works manually, tuning up & down, but I'm not able to make any of the settings.

Help,
John

all you have to do is go to the station you want, hit set, then hit the preset button... if it doesn't work like that, the radio is on its way to the grave

North,

It is common for microprocessor controls to get "locked up" when power is removed and re applied. Before you do anything else, disconnect the battery again, and reconnect it after an hour or so. Good chance this will cure it.

This, by the way is a common problem, especially TV's, when the storms come through in late summer (here in the south). At least half the service calls we get are fixed this way.

PS when remaking the battery connection, make it "clean", in other words, once contact is made, don't allow it to be broken during the tightening.

Regards,
