Boise Radio

My 91 Rag top has a bose/casset only would like to replace with a CD unit any one have a choice on radio upgrades?:_rock

Idaho anything about that Bose radio, but Mid-America has several units that are supposed to be directly swappable. Not cheap, though.

The same Pioneer in Mid America and Ecklers is $200 less from Crutchfield.

Cheers!! :beer

I installed a am/fm cd out of a 99 cacalier in my 86 and replaced the bose speakers with after markets. I had to make a couple of spacers because the mounting tabs are closer to the face plate on the late model. I got a wiring plug for a late model gm car and tied it in. I did not have to run any new wires except for insalling a micro toggle switch beside the cig lighter for the power ant. You can wire it direct but every time you turn the ign. switch on or off the ant runs up and down. The radio fit the console opening perfect the only hole I drilled was to mount the ant. switch.:w :Steer :v Good luck Charlie
PS Around here you can pick up these radios for about $75.00 at the junk yards

If the bose sound is OK you can get an adapter and a MP3 CD player and load enough songs you won't have to swap disks from JAX to MIA!
That's what I did until mine took a dive. I replaced it with an Alpine with a MP3 player did some minor re-wiring and dumped the Bose amps.
