Well it took about 3 weeks but I finally got the 86. I just wanted to thank everyone here for their help. I didn't know anything about avail options or Z51s. I was only up on earlier generations. But after someone here put me on to the Z51 option I checked the codes under the glove box lid and checking them here, I found that this was the car I would buy if I could order it new. Ended up being 11k, but I love it.
Recap: Silver Beige 86 Cp. #26720, bronze leather, 2 owner, 18050mi., Z51, 4+3, manual a/c, bose system,. And it's just as close to new condition as possible. No sun fading, seat or leather wear or anything. Always indoors covered. Had a bra on it but it's fine underneath. I'll need 4 tires to replace the originals soon. They have alot of tread but they are hard and loud. If I punch it in low they light right up. Car has more torque than I ever expected from 235 hp. I'm thinking Khumos since they will probably get old before worn out. I don't mean to ramble on but I really appreciate the help. It did make a difference.

Thanks again,

Mike

Many congratulations on your new Vette! Sounds like you ended up with a primo car. :upthumbs

If you take any pics of it, please post them. I know I would like to see them as well as a lot of CAC members.

Huge congrats there, Mike! Sounds like a true time-capsule car. Oh, I run Kumho Ecsta 712's on mine; serious bang for not much buck (only $92 a pop from Tire Rack). Enjoy the C4 experience!

Thanks again everyone. I must learn how to post pics. I'll work on that this weekend. Thanks for the tip on the Kumhos Al.

Believe it or not, pics are actually pretty easy. You post them thru the "Manage Attachments" box which is below the text box.

Welcome to the world of the '86. I've had mine since '92. Here's some fun stuff (at least I think so!) that my 86 has gone through:

I don't see many 86s around these days. Looks like you got one of the last ones that were made. There were about 28,000 made that year.

me too!! i have only had my 86 for about 3 weeks, it not as nice as your but it was in my price range, you see i work for the govt. ha ha. mine has 85K miles. black on graphite grey leather, thats seen better days but i can live with it now. still getting it running top notch for now??

good luck!
