Brake Pad Thickness spec?

Can anyone tell me the minimum pad thickness for the front of a 2001? For that matter, can anyone tell me the starting thickness of a new pad?

I'm going to take my car out next week for my first taste of track driving, and figured I should replace them if they're getting down too far.

Any help would be appreciated.

HI there,
Normally, it is recommended that you replace them when you are down to 2mm on the piston side brake pad.

Thanks very much! I measured them when I got home tonight, and they're down to about 4mm. I ordered some AC Delco Dura Stop pads that will arrive tomorrow and will install them before I head to the track.
