Hi

l've been driving Jaguar's and Volvo's and now the 96Lt1.(auto)

For some reason when l apply the brakes it feels like the brake pedal needs oil and the same with the gas pedal. The vette stops fine, but pulls a little to the right and the gas pedal doesn't feel smooth.

My brakes on my other cars feel like they are gripping the road when l brake and the vette feels like it has very little power brakes if you know what l mean.

On my other cars when l hit the gas they just move out, when l hit the gas it also moves out but with a surge.

Maybe l just have to get used to it!

Is it me or the car?

Maybe l could use electro shock treatments!!

1. Lube brake pedal pivot.

2. Binding in either throttle cable or, most likely, throttle plate carbon.

3. For #2, above, both are easy to troubleshoot and fix.

4. The lurch on acceleration may be due to fact that you are not used to LT-1 American torque. They are a bit touchy off the line!

Thanks!

Hi

You are probably right, it's been too long away from an american V8 with so much torque.
