I had removed the A/C comp and AIR pump, earlier this winter,as I wanted to take the radiator out and put new air seals on it,as well as new upper and lower radiator hoses, and clean up the front of the engine(degrease and such) b4 the driving season started. So today I decided to attack the alternator, pull the fan and shroud out to get to the alt.as I'm starting to try to loosen the top adjusting bolt,I start to feel it is going to break. So stop, sprayed some PB Blaster on it ane gently tap it with small ball peen hammer to try to help break some of the oxidation that has occured over the past 25 years(it is original,I checked the no's b4 starting)after waiting about 15 min.I tried firm but steady pressure and a light to watch the front of the bolt to see if it was in fact turning, it just all of a sudden snapped :ugh .Oh well, Now I'm attempting (tomorrow) to drill it and remove it with an easy out.
One more thing to add to my to-do list b/4 spring...:eyerole
