The bloody thing broke right after it turned up 90 degrees, and the peg is still stuck in the metal portion (where the t-tops secure)

I have no idea how to remove the broken piece, anyone have any ideas???

Why not JB Weld it together again . Works good on repairs like that.

In the great scheme of things that works, but I would much rather spend 15 bucks at ecklers and get a brand new knuckle

Just happen to me too .. 16 bucks for the knuckle and when i get to it the old one is going to need to be drilled out !!

Always something fun with these cars !

yes yes there is!!! :hb :hb

Its all good though, tests my mechanical ability each and every time.

I was actually looking at that today when I was detailing the life out of it today and drilling it out popped into my head too, I will probably tackle that when it starts raining again on Friday.

Are you re-using the spring and the spring retainer, and the plastic bushing on the visor itself???? or are you planning on replacing the whole 9 yards??

Since i desrtoyed the spring retainer i might as well get all new hardware too, for a total of $20 not to bad
