I recently purchased Hankook Mileage Plus II (P225/70R15) 100S (sight unseen) at the advice of an aquaintance working on my car for me on a very tight budget. I knew I couldn't afford to replace my Eagle GTs and if I waited until I could, there would be another year of the car deteriorating. Well, long story short . . . I hate them. They look scrawny and plain but now I'm stuck with them. My concern is the "S" rating. Will the skinny profile and moderate speed rating cause any handling or safety issues?

They are good to 100 mph and speed rating really has nothing to do with handleing although higher spped rated tires do tend to generate higher cornering force (G load). They are safe and inexpensive and todays cheap tires are lightyears ahead of the "high performance" tires we raced on in the 60s-70s :-)

The only Hankook worth Poop is the Ventus V12. All others are junk.

Put down some extra money and buy Dunlop GT qualifier. :)
But at this moment I think you have a good price / quality tire now. Better luck next time.

Greetings Peter

Vette girl, Please reconsider, something better please, take them off. I've experienced a hankook tire explosion on a chevy pickup at 70mph which nearly took the bed side off. Hankook's claims manager Mr. Koenig and I had many conversions before an attorney help him:confused see it my way. Save your glass and your real cash. Buy a real tire for a real classic.
