Thought it wouldn't hurt to try to coordinate a ride from O'Hare to the Bloomington show. So far, there are two of us that would hate to spend $30-40 on a cab ride from the airport to the show knowing that there's a slew of rental cars and Corvettes from the local area already in motion... so, our thumbs are sticking up in the air trying to bum a ride! Of course, we'll contribute a couple $$$ for your time and effort. ;)

I'm arriving Wednesday morning ~noon.

Surf'n'Sun is arriving ~11am on Thursday

:D :D Getting a ride from a fellow CAC member would be cool. Like Eric said we are willing to pay with $$$ or a couple of cold beverages. ;)

Guys,

I fly in either 3 hours earlier or 2 hours later. I'll have a rental car but it doesn't sound like I can give you guys a ride. Maybe on the way home.

See ya there,

-Luigi
:cool

I'll take you up on the ride back ;)

Now if I can just get to the show......:D

I replied in Surf's thread.

but this one has times..

Where are you guy's staying. I could more then likely pick up Eric on Wednesday (not in the vette though, as my son will be with), Not sure but I might be able to Pick up Surf on Thursday. same thing (no vette)

It would be My GTP.

which airline and hotel are you staying at.

I know my wife will hit the roof when I tell her but it should not be a problem

email me for a faster response.. vettxtc@comcast.net

Jeff, you have mail at your Comcast address. I'm arriving at 11:45 at O'Hare... maybe see you there?? My cell phone is in the email. Also will be checking here till 6am on Wednesday (won't be sleeping much ;))

Jeff how far is the show from O'hare?
About 32 miles. There is no Direct way to get there.

If you cannot find a ride and need to get a taxi, there are 2 types of Taxis

One type goes to chicago and will charge big $$$$ for the suburbs

the other is for the suburbs. I am not sure which is which, but I think there is an info desk at O'Hare to help with that.

If I remember I will look when I am there today and post later

Thanks Jeff! That 400+hp cab ride was great!! ;) We're in a holding pattern here until some of the other Callaway owners show up so we can start unloading some trucks!

Cool, When I left I saw about 10 vettes sttting out of the semi trailers, so i figured it was starting to move.

Glad you enjoyed the ride, I see you were able to check in..

It was great meeting you and I will see you guys on Friday for sure.. Maybe a bit tomorrow too.
