1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
So I am just back from a vacation

Went to visit some collector car places

I was minding my own buisness looking a big block vette and the sales person said so whay do you think.

I said Nice

He said no really whats your thought on this car. He said he knows I know about vettes as I had my corvettes of carlilse shirt on.

So I explain to him I am no expert. But I do enjoy vettes.

I then explain to him why I feel his 425 side pipe ao smith car is not what its advertized as. I mean it was some pretty obvious clues but aparently not even the buyers for these collector car places care to get an education on.

So I am not sure what there going to do with the information I had shaired with them, but they did have a 70 Mach I that they had advertized with a Cleveland motor and when I pointed out that it had a Windsor in it they pulled the sign off and was having it corrected.

They asked me how I knew this information on the vettes and I explained I got it from the online forums I frequent and all of the information they could ever need was available to them.

I had learned not to share my opinions on cars with any one as it never brings any thing good , but this guy asked so I told him.

When you are more technically knowledgable than the 99 people of 100 who ask questions, I do believe the 99 of us do put you in the expert catagory! And deservingly so IMHO:upthumbs . Respect is earned and I think you paid your dues;)

Well done, Larry. It sounds like they're at least half-way honest if they're willing to change the sign instead of simply nodding & smiling.

But you know most of this relates to 1966-67 427s clones and the like. The Pro-Team crowd. A good, solid C2 with an NOM small-block can still be had for $35,000-45,000US. I have one and enjoy it very much.
