I am very intrested in the 1993 40th Anniversary model. There is just something about the car that draws me to it. What are items to look for, problems that are possible with this year. I know all cars are differnet but any guidance on things to look for will help me in my search...Thanks

Nothing specific to look for on a Ruby Red 40th Anniversary car, just the usual C4 LT1 stuff.

Weatherstripping
Seat Condition
Water Pump/Opti Replacement?

Look at it like you would ANY used car. Scrutinize everything.

They look so nice, I get comments on the color all the time. People love it. :happyanim:So do I. On a side note saw a 50th Anniversary in Anniversary Red today. Its too dark, and the champagne colored wheels and interior, just doesn't do it for me. I like mine better.

See the drop down menu under the Tech. section at the top of the page for a good checklist to use when shopping. 93 is a great year and the Ruby cars are beautiful, be patient and you should be able to find a good deal on nice Vette.:thumb

I own one and it is truly a beautiful car. The maroon color is really rich looking. The only weakness is the optispark system, which can be prone to failure, in either miles or time with few miles. Some folks never have the problem, I suppose if the car is subject to a drier enviroment. I had to change mine with a modification using half '96 parts. Car had only 22K, but 12 yrs old. The optispark was modified by GM I believe in '95 or '96. Good luck and enjoy!

I see this is your first post. :welcome

After you get a Vette, consider joining Central Oklahoma Corvette Club (website: coccmain ) - we cover the middle of the state pretty good.

Thanks

Thanks for the info on the 93 Ruby. I am looking forward to owning my Ruby. I will keep looking and will be proud to share once I am the proud owner.
