The Cross fire intake funnels any fuel left in the intake

The intake is prone to fuel 'puddling', which can cause some low RPM roughness. The second stoplight run is usually better. Dick Giuldstrand told me that the car runs a bit rich around town, but is optimized at highway speeds. Great performance; great economy. ANd now, many smiles/$$.

The CrossFire is a good setup, if a bit limited in high RPM. Elsewhere, we discussed the long term issues with the throttle bodies, like worn butterfly shafts and leaky injectors. Both are fixable, at not great expense, but like a multi-carb setup, they need to be properly synchronized.

I am still happy as a clam with my 84 after almost 2.5 year of ownership. I went out the other day to start her up and take her for a spin while the roads were clear. She started right up as if she had been started already that day. My Vette is in an unheated garage but the cold doesn't bother it one bit. I am just getting anxious to get it out driving for good again. Damn winter is starting to tick me off!
