C-5 vs Testarossa ??

About a month ago when I got my car, I was pulling out of the local pumps and a Ferrari Testarossa (Miami Vice style), was pulling in so I'm guessing this car was 84' to 87'ish.

Same thing last week ... he's on the way in to gas and I'm on the way out.

Yesterday, he was coming out of his driveway; he only lives down the road. Figuring that sooner or later we would meet out on the 4 lane, I figured that I better do a search on his performance stats but didn't come up with much .... something like a top end of 141, not much else.

My car is a dead stock 00' six speed coupe.

Does anyone have a clue what to expect?

I know that the "Miami" car was pure Vette ..... a "faux rossa".

Looks like it will be close.

Testarossa .. 0-60 = 5.3 0-100 = 12.2 .87 g's

99 stock C-5 .. 0-60 = between 5.3 to 5.2 0-100 = 11.7 .91 g's

The original Miami Vice Ferrari was a Daytona spyder replica built on a Vette chassis. The White Testarossa was pure Ferrari. In the 1/4 mile you'll take the TR but he'll get ya on the top end by a good 5+mph. Top Speed of a TR is 181.

MoeJr, thanks and oooooops ... forgot that it was the Daytona!

Probably won't happen because the guy is a car dealer, a pro who also sells from his front yard too, so the car might disappear sometime during summer, but he always has some interesting "iron" on the lawn for sale. This year it's been a 66' Mercedes 230 "Pagoda" roadster and a couple of Camaro's ..... older 396 and a Z-28, a 442 Olds etc.
