On my way to work this morning on I-95 about three miles south of the Jacksonville International airport, I noticed a black C-6 coming up behind me pretty fast. It looked wider than I am used to seeing. When it passed on the left, I could tell it was a new Z06. I sped up to catch it as traffic slowed. It had a Kentucky dealer plate, not a manufacturer's plate. It was X7 331M and had a Warren Co. sticker on the bottom. The driver was an older gentleman with grey hair and glasses, but I could not see his face. The other man was about 30 and had very short hair. I gave a big thumbs up. The passenger looked at me, but did not respond in any way. It looked a little lower than my C-5 Z06 and there did not appear to be as much air space between the fender and the top of the tire. I have seen all the pictures and was not all that impressed until today. In person, the car is incredible, even in the rain!! I was in my daily driver and of course did not have my camera. I assume they were on the way to Sebring. All I can say is, my 2004 Z06 needs to plan on getting a garage mate as soon as I can get my hands on one.

Wow, that's cool!

It must have been lowered. You should do it to your Z too.

Did it have a front plate installed? If so, how did it look on the Z06? Since it looks awful on the regular C6 the appearance on the mighty new Z06 is certain to be much worse. Way to go Chevy....

BTW I am still searching for a SINGLE piece of gm literature IN ANY FORM that shows the C6 with a front plate attached. I deduce from this that they know perfectly well how bad it looks.

So the Black C6 Z06 impressed you? Cool..

I'm sure in person that car is one bad @ss ride...

Thanks for the heads up.

That's IS cool for sure. I'm wondering why the passenger didn't respond to the thumbs up? I guess he thinks he is too cool, or this is just old hat for him lol!

Wow, thats very cool. I have yet to see one on the road. I would have to agree with everyone else and say it must be one bad @ss ride front plate or not.

Maybe the guy was just a jerk?:L

being an oldgoat means remembering lots of corvettes past. I recall the first 1968 coupe I ever saw. Yellow one going the opposite direction on I35 in the Arbuckle mts of oklahoma.
