Got the car as far as we could today and started loading it up onto the trailer to take to Bob Bakers (he has a Plymouth Cuda that he drag races, mid 7's at 185-190mph). As I was loading the parts into the trunk I realized that I was loading and loading and loading. I realized that given the stuff that needs to be done I am not sure that they will get it all done prior to Carlisle.

If we don't make it we don't make it, but we tried.

Here is a shot of the motor prior to loading the car on trailer....

Day 2 at Bob Bakers Diversified Auto - Fremont, Ohio

Had to go to the dentist today and fortunately the dentist is less than a mile from Bob's, so after wards you know I had to head over to see what was up. Here is the status....

They got my wiring sorted out, I found a way to wire a few things backwards (but at least I was consistent in the way I did it). If it was wrong, then they were all wrong

.

I just hope I didn't put in any bolts backwards

!

At any rate, they got the wiring sorted out and the lights all work now and the rear running lights and brake/turn signal lights look really great.

They also got the electronic ignition to start firing the spark plugs.

The dash lights were all sorted out and really looked sharp all lit up! Of course I found a way to wire the head lights backwards and they got that fixed so the regular head lights and the brights now work as they are supposed to!They need to sort out the fact that I missed putting in a relay for the fuel pump (

), but hopefully they got that sorted out tonight or first thing tomorrow.

I think that they should be in a position to fire the motor on Wednesday, hopefully before noon. I think that is the only way they will have any kind of shot getting everything done that needs to be done before Thursday night....still a long shot, but they are giving it a good try! I wish we had 2 to 3 more days, then I feel that this would be possible......they are giving it a super human effort!

Tomorrow will be a key day......stay tuned!
