On my 1960 the passenger side door sometimes will not open when you press the door handle button. However if you open the passenger side door from inside, it opens fine. This has been happening when the passenger side door is unlocked. Since I can not lock my passenger side with a key, I can not try opening the door locked from the outside....
I noticed the round gear that holds onto the door jamb latch spins quite freely if you hold the inside door handle. however when you press the outside door handle it spins not so freely.
I removed the door panel and poked around inside thinking there maybe an adjustment of some kind but I could find none... Any thoughts?
PS: Yes - my door locking mechanism is well greased...
