Rebuilt my master cylinder this weekend and it went very smooth. It had some minor pitting that was easily removed when I honed it out. This was a very straight forward procedure... I was expecting it to be more complicated than it was. Similar to rebuilding a wheel cylinder. Hardest part was removing the large nut at the front of the master. I bleed out the system starting with the drivers side rear wheel cylinder as this was the furtherest from the master. Then I did the passenger rear, then the passenger front and last the driver front. It went very smooth except I had minor leaks at the two brass blocks on both front sides. They were easily fixed with a little more tightening. I used the two man method, my son helped, as I don't have a vacuum or a pressure tool... some day. After I was done I placed newspaper under each wheel and the pumped and stood on the pedal pretty well looking for leaks. I left and came back a few hours later and my newspaper and the rest of the floor were perfectly dry. I adjusted the shoes one more time and checked it off my list. :)
