Hi All...

I was back in Pittsburgh over the Fourth and my Dad pulled his carb off his '60 to have it rebuilt...anyway, while we were in the garage, we pulled out what he saved from when he bought the Vette...

He purchased the Vette in '62. He has quite a bit of the original paperwork, but can't track down the sales receipt when he bought it! Anyway, thought it would be fun to share some of this with everyone here...few shots from last year of the Vette are included...

Also, created a few other albums with some other rides, including my Father-in-law's 65 Impala SS.

Thats cool to have all that paperwork. Sure wish I had some for mine.

Nice color also. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool stuff for a very nice car!

I'm fond of the documentation on Vettes. It helps secure the credibility of the car (we've got active threads about some of the fakes out there.)

I've got the original window sticker, build sheet, protect-o plate, owners manual and packet amongst other original docs for mine. I should take some pictures someday.

That documentation is great! Where is Smoke Creek road? I live in Orchard Park And stop at Bauer Mobil all the time to get my gas! Yes it is still there.

Hey Jerry, where 'bouts in Orchard Park? One of my best friend lives on Fox Chapel Drive. I have my vette parts shipped to him and he brings them up when he comes to visit.

That price was quite a chunk of change at the time. Nice car!

Great looking car! I agree with Twinray sure was a chuck of change for '60. Look at what a 1972 LT1 originally when for. Too bad I don't still have it...I guess I'll have to get by with my '54 &78 SA :D

I live in a new Subdivision over behind St. Bernedettes church, Its on the Orchard Park/Armor border, I know exactly where Fox Chapel is, I drive by there all the time.

Hey All...thanks for the replies...that's cool that the gas station is still around in the Buffalo area, I did a search and the dealership still appears to be around as all.

As far as the location of things, I really am not sure where about in Bufflao they are...apparently the original owner of the car moved from Buffalo to Pittsburgh and traded it in on a new ride back in '62. Dad purchased the car off of the dealer lot used.

For curiousity sake, I punched in the purchase price and gas price into a on-line program to adjust for inflation, etc. Think that they gas came up to be about $2 something and the car came out to be about $30k plus. Don't know what their formula was to calculate it...still pretty substantial...
