Hi all,
I'm trying to decode the VIN # for my '59 Corvette, and am having trouble with the breakdown... From what I've seen on the web, it breaks down as follows:
J= Corvette model
59= year produced
S= St Louis MO plant
Then, there are 6 numbers that are supposed to identify the production number. There were only 9670 produced that year, and the numbers begin with "10" (ie 109670). If there were only 9670 produced, what does the "10" stand for?
Thanks,
CHEV66JB
