C1 Windshield

Another disaster with the '59. Pulled the car into the driveway to wash it and check for leaks around the bottom of the windshield. Pulled the soft top up and the passenger side front latch seemed loose and I noticed a gap between the soft top and the windshield. I loosened the latch and moved the adjustment plate about and 1/8" and tried again. Still loose. Then I noticed the windshield glass is pulling out of the frame !! WTH ?! Needless to say, the car is not getting washed and my day is pretty much ruined.

Am I going to have to completely remove the windshield from the car and completely disassemble the glass and frame to fix this ? I REALLY don't want to do that because that is a major PITA. Can I just remove the top and side stainless and set the glass back in the gasket and frame ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's just one thing after another with this car lately, and I'm too old for this crap. It may be time to sell this car.

That is one job I haven't had to do yet, hopefully never. I've heard of the top frame pulling off of the glass if the top is adjusted to pull too hard when It's latched. Also of glass that isn't the same specs as original. I would be watching every C1 glass installation video I could find. Someone may be showing the fix for just this problem.
