Heaven, what is the correct finish? I've bought several restoration books and none of them identify finishes. Any suggestions on a good reference guide for finishes?

How did you hold the brushes back when you slid the armature back in? There has to be an easy way.

Two sets of hands and dental instruments. I had a friend use the hooked ends of two dental instruments (the kind the dental hygenist uses to clean your teeth) to hold back the brushes (by the wires) while I slipped the armature in place. It wasn't easy, but with some patience, it does work.
