C3 Control Arms

I am rebuilding the front end of my '81 and like an idiot, did not mark the upper control arms when I removed them. Does anyone know how to tell the difference between right and left? Does the offset go toward the front or the back? Thanks for any help.

They go like this, with the long side forward - the upper ball joint stud will be directly above the lower ball joint stud when correctly installed (this is the driver's side).

Yup, the ball joint sits back from the centerline of the control arm, the lower oens are also like that (but easy to recognise as the sway bar bracket is on the front)
