I am building a 1981 with a 427 small block, Liberty slick-shift M-22, fully ajustable Mcleod Soft-loc clutch with aluminum flywheel. I am installing the stronger 63-79 rear end and am trying to avoid going to a straight axle - I want to keep it a "Corvette". This car will see only weekend cuising with it's primary purpose being racing. I am installing a 4.11:1 gear with an aftermarket posi. It will be pushing 650 HP naturally aspirated with nitrous optional.

Does anyone have any experience with using this type of rearend for "Severe Duty"? And by severe duty, I mean 6-7K launches on slicks. If so, what do you recomend doing to make it stronger and what to do for better traction? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
