Will someone give me a hand with the sidepipe option.

I want to replace my entire exhuast system and wanted to know a little more information.

I have 2 options:

1. headers into true dual exhuast with a X pipe.
2. sidepipes.

If i go the sidepipes option do I have to get the Hooker headers or can I go with something cheaper.

Thanks!!!

I have hedman headers. They turn out toward the doors. 345 for a set of ceramic coated.....that is for my big block. I have them curled back at the time ----to flow masters....year or so after the rear end and the paint job I'll get side pipes....No they're not the total hooker setup but right now it sounds mean...can't wait to get a side set-up.

I will not have to worry about smogging the car again until OCT 2005. I will worry about what type of exhaust I have on the car then. I have an option to register it in Oregon, where the smog laws would allow such things.

FYI - although its a rare find, there are places in CA that do not require regular smog checks. But I have heard about leprechauns as well. I have seen neither.

U can buy '69 style side pipes and run them from your exhaust manifolds. I think that they will not give any performance in crease and may in fact hurt it a little as they will increase back pressure.

Where do you suggest I get such things.
