On my '81 vette the driver's side sun visor won't stay up! Is there any way to tighten this so it will stay up?

the plastic bushings inside are probably broken...

Mine was the same way until last week.

Get a drinking straw, cut it about 3/8" long, then slice down the side. Put it on the inside of the plastic bushing. No more falling visor.
