Save me from the "flying targa club"!

Over the past few months theres been this annoying rattle and squeak coming from the back right side of the targa (fiberglass, not acrylic) roof area. Ive made sure the clamping screws are nice and tight and the roof is on perfectly level and even. Well its been progressively getting noisier and more rattle. Last night my teenager was driving and I was in the passenger seat, which is rare for me - I hate the feel of that side of the C4, and I put my hand up to the far back right corner and low and behold I could see not only light but feel wind!

So today I take off the roof and I can see that the whole right hand side has separated and can be pulled away about 1/4" or more from the frame. Question is, how do I repair this?

My assumption/guess is that theres some sanding prep and then super duper glue of some sort. Would appreciate specific details on how to go about this. Im not a car mechanic or much of a DIY guy, but I can follow explicit instructions, so if you can help in that regard, it would help me a lot.

UPDATE: Tried some Gorilla Glue… so far so good, at least for the short term.

That Gorilla Glue repair won't last very long. Since the roof is a structural member of the chassis and gets very hot in the So. Cal. sunshine, there is a lot of stress on that adhesive bond. Gorilla Glue will get too hard in a short amount of time, and will crack.
Where are you in So. Cal? I've re-bonded my roof, learning the hard way about several techniques that don't work! The repair procedure is pretty complicated, but there may be a way we can get together to solve your problem. Please respond here, or send me a PM.

Had same issue...

My targa top did the same thing...only on the front side. I took it to a glass specialist and he used some type of glue that has worked for five years now. My top is the acrylic (?) type. No more issues to date. Good luck!
