hey,whats up,
ive been following the de-carbon threads.my friend has auto-tap(better than nothing)so i made wot runs because i heard pinging last time at track.my timing was 16.5* @ 5193 rpms.i ran a can of BG44k threw a tank full of gas and my timing today was 24.5* @ 4598 rpms, much better pick-up too.im still lean because my MAS is totally ported with no air foil.once i get that changed i should be close to 28* or 30*. at wot.
my question is,i've called the GM dealers here and asked for part #12345515(injector cleaner)and they all say they dont carry that part #.;shrug conspiracy?
is there a auto parts store kind you would recommed?mostly a injector cleaner.what about a bottle of Techron?
i must say that the BG product you recommended worked exactly as advertised.(thats rare).and the auto-tap proved it.so did seat of the pants meter and also no pinging.
thanks again Todd.
p.s,i have 36,500 miles on the car and it had plenty of cabon.

HI there,
While 12345515 is not a required chemical, so not everyone would have it.
They should.
Anyway, any GM dealership should be carrying this. It works that well.
Techron is adequate, and you can try it.
As for the rest, I would simply run another 44k through it, after you change the oil.
Give it a shot, and let us know how you make out, c4c5:hb
