Anyone know where I can find a solid (not glass or see through) replacement top for my 94 Black coupe? The Astro Top I bought last year rattles too much, simply want to go with a stock replacement and put the Astro Top away or simply sell it...

Thanks!

Check ebay, over the last several weeks there has been a dealer of sorts listing new GM tops. I have seen white, red, black and silver. They aren't cheap, listing starts at $770.00 I think

Did you adjust it to the car,or just put it on and call it good??;shrug

I'm betting the rattles are coming from the top is seperating from the frame. Take the top off and see if you can pull the top part away from the frame any. Check all around.

I adjusted the top before installing it right out of the box, the bolts holding the brackets were loose. It was a bit tedious, but did adjust them properly. After about 1 month or so, the top was rattling louder than ever, so I checked and the bolts were loose again somehow. So I tightened again, but the top itself has rattled since day one. I wish I had seen all the posts on this company before I purchased the top. You get what you pay for I suppose. I should have simply bought a new GM top from GM....

I usually have the top off when I am driving, as the car is not used very often, but want to make sure when I have the top on I only hear the roar of the exhaust, not the rattling of the top!

To adjust the top right you just about have to remove the inside trim pieces from the halo and windshield!:thumb
The cones in the front must be fully seated and bolts mounting Mounting brackets to the top and vehicle must be tight along with a proper preload,Or your top will rattle or de-laminate no matter who's top it is!!!~!!~! :thumb:thumb:thumb

GM,Thompson,Melrose don't matter,you won't find 5 cars that are adjusted Exactly the same from 90-96 production!:L:L:L
How could some dude miles away know what the heck it needs and get it right?? ;shrug

Give Tracy Performance up in Michigan a try. I purchased one from him last summer. It was reasonably priced and he is great to work with.
