Wondering which roll bars will allow me to have my seat all the way back and allow me to see out of the rear view mirror.

Thanks!

I have the S/T Frame Suport from R-d Racing. I love it. The seat travel is limited some. It doesn't bother me, I'm about 5' 10". The passenger seat is limited a little more then the drivers, but there is still plenty of room. The view out the rear is limited some also, I can see behind me, I can see the grill section of a car behind me, but not the persons face. I think its fine, you get use to it pretty easy.
I really like it a it looks great!!

I was looking at the R/D ST Frame support, but I cant let the seat all the way back and I am 6'4" so I need max. seat travel.

Any other options?

Right now I have the R/D Racing Cross Bar and it is fine but I want to make sure I meet safety requirement for racing in 2004.

Call Dave. He might know if it will allow you enough room to let the seat back for you. My friend got the S/T also, he is I think 6', maybe 6'1". It works for him.

I have a roll bar from Exotic Muscle installed. It allows the driver & passenger seat to go back all the way. Rear vision was somewhat impaired, but I also installed a NASCAR style rear view mirror which greatly enhanced the rear vision. Sorry, I'm can't post photos but the roll bar does look very similar to the one posted

Here's mine:

The seat is all the way back. One thing I should get is the NASCAR-style mirror that was mentioned. The factory mirror is kinda dinky with the roll bar in there. ;)

Anything exist that will allow the targa top to go "anywhere" when its off?

also, Ken, is that a custom made thing? where can I find that bar/cage? What kind of money are we talking?

Not that I'm aware of.

... is that a custom made thing?
Yes.

Chris Alston's Chassisworks has kits available to build whatever you need or desire. Mine could have originated from such a kit, but was more likely fashioned by the builder himself; I didn't bother asking him.

I paid eight hundred for my set up, with the removable side bar.

The only off the shelf bar that allows the top to be stored in the factory position is the Kim Baker roll bar - which is no longer sold/produced.

No, unless you go custom made. The bars will not pass a tech for any serious events, and in a rollover, the bars will just flex and not protect.
